There are many things I like about this traditional British brand. I like their timeless apporach to typical British design, the high value and prominent role music plays, the constant strive to be modern yet traditional at the same time, their ability to create and support up and coming top models like Agyness Deyn back in the days or Cara Delevigne and Edie Campbell. Further more I like the fact that the brand pro-actively supports ethnic diversity like they did in their new campaign with Naomi Campbell and Jourdan Dunn. On the other hand of course there are some things that I don’t support. Every now and then the brand made some negative headlines because of their alleged cruel fur politics. I’m really no expert on that, so I can’t say too much about these cases.
London Collections Men
As some of you might know, the London Collections Men took place in the last days, where the latest British menswear collections were shown. I did some research and stumbled upon this beautifully edited Burberry Prorsum Fall Winter 2015 video that I want to share with you. What surprised me was the high usage of these kind of mirror mosaic pieces, that give the usually conservative brand an androgynous and gender-blending look. Watch for yourselves.
